A rare Adong Village Chardonnay from the terroir that put Ao Yun on the map — fewer than 3,000 bottles a year.

Region: Shangri-La, Yunnan, China | Grape: 100% Chardonnay | Vintage: 2025 | Style: Dry White | Volume: 750ml

Terroir
This Chardonnay comes from Adong Village in Deqin County, part of the Shangri-La wine region (1,700–3,000m), among the highest-elevation vineyards in the world, with a dry climate, abundant sunshine and long daylight hours year-round. This exceptional terroir, at 2,500–2,800m, has attracted renowned wineries including Ao Yun, and wines from the area have received numerous international awards and high scores from critics in recent years. Annual production is fewer than 3,000 bottles.

Winemaking
Hand-harvested. 80% of the wine was aged in stainless steel tanks, while 20% was aged in used French oak barrels.

High Cru Tasting Notes
80% of the wine is aged in stainless steel, preserving fresh wild pear and peach fruit; the remaining 20% is aged in older French oak with regular bâtonnage, adding fuller body and a subtle toasted-bread note. Combined with the bright acidity of a cool climate and long growing season, this Chardonnay shows the bright, vivacious classic style of the Meili region, with strong Chardonnay typicity leaning toward pale- and light-yellow fruit character.

Food Pairing
Oysters, scallops, buttered shrimp, creamy pasta, and similar dishes.

Ideal serving temperature: 8°C | Ageing potential: 3–5 years
