High Cru Tasting Notes
Pale ruby with a purple edge; very expressive spice-forward aromatics with a touch of green herbal character, somewhat reminiscent of a Northern Rhône Syrah with a green-pepper edge. Green pepper, red strawberry and toffee-cream aromatics, sweet and refined. Medium body on the palate rather than full, with sour cherry, a touch of coffee, and moderate concentration, but plenty of fine, sandy tannin. Well balanced overall with a lingering finish — fresh red fruit, violet, a green herbal note and fruit-candy sweetness carrying through to a clean, pleasant close.
